Enrique Granados


Enrique Granados (1867-1916) was Cuban but lived much of his life in Spain.  He died at sea trying to save his wife after their ship was torpedoed by a German submarine.  Granados was a pianist and wrote a number of piano works in addition to works for other instrumental and vocal combinations.  Spanish Dance No. 5 is from Twelve Spanish Dances for Piano.
