Desire

Joani is my cousin but being eight years younger, I always thought of her as a little girl. But little girls have a way of growing up, as my wife Lori and I discovered when Joani invited us to hear her sing a solo near the end of her senior year in High School. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. She possessed both poise and a soulfulness that immediately captivated us. That summer the three of us, Lori, Joani and I began a fruitful musical collaboration, composing the songs on this album, songs that possess an emotional honesty and intensity that I feel make this album particularly haunting.
