These pieces were not originally composed to make up a suite. Instead, they were written over a period of years, and in a variety of locations. together they reflect the influence of the enormous spaces of the fields and the sky of Nebraska on my sensibilities since before I can remember. No matter where I have been, and no matter where the road may take me, the geometry of the Nebraska prairie is the music in my heart. -- Bill Tuttle
